As I told you in response to the rude PM you sent me, that isn't a good way to learn, and every intro to Java arrays, including the ones you claim to have read, covers it.
We seem to be getting a rash of rude messages going through PM recently. And in some cases, it gotten way past what is considered normally rude, even gotten to the point of personal attacks.
I am not inferring that this is such a case here. I am sure it's not...... In fact, apologies for using this as an example.
So, I would like to simply ask. What do you think could be done to help curb it? Anything from moderators to help? Or maybe it is fine, and we are simply being overly sensitive? etc.
In this particular case, it was no big deal. The guy threw a little hissy fit, blew off a little steam and it ended. Two PMs to me, and I responded to both. Had he continued, I was going to warn him that I'd report him to the mods.
In the general case, I'm not concerned. I think this is the only time I've received rude PMs, and I have no feel for how big the problem is overall. If a lot of people are having problems with this, then perhaps we could allow people to choose who is allowed to PM them (with the proviso that mods can PM anybody), if the forum software supports that level of control.
