Hi ,

I am trying to host a web application on my machine, I have forwarded port-80 using router settings .
My application is hosted on Tomcat running on port-8080 .I have setup Apache web server which is listening
port -80 and I would like yo forward all the requests on port-80 to port-8080.

I have tried following http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-4.1-doc/proxy-howto.html this but it didn't work.
After making changes to httpd.conf Apche server failed to start.

Can someone provide me a step-by-step solution to this issue ?

Unless you're running Tomcat 4, that page is outdated. Lookup the procedure for your own Tomcat version.
