websphere 7 how to change ldap host.

Hi.
I am working with Websphere 7. I need to change my ldap host. I already set it up once, but I need to change the host. I see the host field, however I am paranoid that I won't be able to login if I don't do some other steps.
can someone point me to the steps, a tutorial or some 'how to save off config and restore if you boff it up' information?
