Replies lost when moving a thread?

Here's the original thread: http://www.coderanch.com/t/567792/java/java/Searching-displaying-results-multi-dimensional

Here is, what I think is the "moved copy/version" of that thread: http://www.coderanch.com/t/567785/java/java/Searching-displaying-results-multi-dimensional

It seems that in the move, we lost my reply and the OP's post thanking me. Is this known/accepted behavior? Does it happen with all thread moves? Or did somebody just forget to take the extra step of explicitly bringing replies along with the move?

I think the same query was posted twice in different forums and hence the confusion. I am locking the one which wasn't moved. Thanks for pointing this out

The post was not moved. It was, as already surmised, the same question posted twice.

Right. DB's comment saying he'd moved it, however, left me wondering.
