Login Action using Form Based logins

I'm not too sure if I should have posted this in the Jboss forum, but I'll give it a shot here:

My problem is that I want to add cookies to my web application (for autologins) and I'm not too sure where the "proper" place to put this is. Thinking about this, I would love it if I could simply run another action with the login scripts that would just check the cookies if found...

Is there a simple way to just "tack" on an action to the FORM based login (ie. login-config of the web.xml file)?

Thanks for any suggestions!
