Hi Author,
(I am new to C++.)
Does Boost library provides an API similar to Thread facilities in Java? What are the different compiler who are supporting Boost libraries?

Yes, Boost has a thread library. See the Boost.Thread documentation. The list of supported compilers is available here.

Some compilers support the C++11 standard thread library either out-of-the-box, or with a third-party library.
