Have you checked the GlassFish documentation because it looks like your client cannot connect to GF server.

How you assume, that the client can't connect to gf server? How to solve this?

You need to add derbyclient.jar (JDBC drivers for JavaDB) in your application server's classpath.
you can simply copy it inside Glassfish x.x\libs folder.

wait.... Derby drivers are by-default available with GlassFish...
so please verify if derbyclient.jar exists in glassfish or else copy it there.

Another solution : check whether your Derby DB is running or not.

There is still lot to learn!
