This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Anyone else playing around with Path? They have no web interface. Mobile only (iPhone and Android) but it is quite impressive (the interface). Unfortunately, none of my friends are using Path. So unless I share to Facebook / Twitter, which path makes as easy as clicking an icon, no one sees anything I say.
A friend got me signed up on that a while ago, and he preferred it to FB because -for whatever reason- most of his friends were on Path. I uninstalled it when I ran out of space on my phone; I guess I could try to get it on again now, especially as I have got another friend request from someone else I know since, and couldn't react to it because they have no web interface... If you send me a friend request we can try to figure it out :-)
The hot social network seems to be Pinterest, though, but they're still invite-only.
It was all over the geek news a couple of weeks ago because it uploads your whole contact list to their server so they can "find friends" for you. They do this without asking permission. Caused a lot of angry folks to rant on the 'tubes
Pinterest is a hot one for women, so far men dont' seem to care for it.
