Hi,

I am getting this error in a maven project in eclipse. It is complaining about effect.js. Here is the error information:

effects.js /tc-webapp/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/website/scripts line 0 JavaScript Problem

Why would I get a javascript error? I appreciate any explanation and suggestions on the fix.

Thanks

It is not a javascript error. Rather it appears that Eclipse had some problem examining some file (I'm not convinced that the problem is due to effect.js). The first thing I would do is remove effect.js and see if the build works.

If it does, then I would examine effect.js to see what the problem might be. I would look for non-ASCII characters. I would also rebuild effect.js a piece at a time until I hit the part that causes this error.

Of course if it does not work, then there is some other issue. I would try creating a new workspace, create a new project in the workspace, and move my source files there. If that works, then there is an issue with some workspace or project configuration error.

Thanks for your reply. I had tried deleting the effect.js file and the error moved to the next js file. I agree with you, my problem is project configuration.
