JSTL Drop Down

I need help getting a jstl drop down to work. I have found many examples and I am doing what is shown but I can't get it to work. I have made standard-1.1.2.jar and jstl-1.2.jar available to my application. I believe jstl is working because in my testDropDown.jsp I use and that works and I know the bean is working because I use the bean to display a message and thats working. The only thing that shows up in the drop down is ${items}.

Here is the jsp and java file I am using:

testDropDown.jsp

ListBean.java

We can see from that example that JSTL is working but EL is not. (Your bare "${item}" which is not inside a JSTL tag is an example of EL.)

So you need to check that the configuration of your web application is such that EL is supported.
