JSON Artifacts for Web Service

I am invoking a public web service which gives me complex JSON object as response. One straight forward way to to get required data from response is to write a JSON parser manually.
I was wondering if there is any way I can generate artifacts that describes the response JSON structure, similar to how it can be done with SOAP? so that I can easily pass JSON string to artifact classes and call getters method to get data.

This question comes from my un-familiarity with handling JSON response objects (from web service) to get required data. So I would also appreciate any pointers on standard practices to do that when the JSON structure is complex. Are there any library that do this?
