extending desktop socket application into application server. how??

hi,
i have made a remote desktop application with the socket programming. so far now the application is the desktop application and the connection has to be made manually. i was to develop the extend this application more like the other remote desktop application in the market like Teamviewer. how can i do that? do i need to host my application into the application server? i have no idea. please help. thanks
