Hi,

If anyone can help it would be great,

A friend of mine has a phone and currently her phone is blocked on a Twitter website saying that its blocked by a thing called MunsterAnnie,

Does anyone know how to kill the process of MunsterAnnie on a phone?

Thanks,

Niall

Google says there's no such thing (this thread is the number one hit on Google, congrats!)

What do you mean?

The above statement seems rather like a virus!

I can't imagine why a virus writer would want to stop anyone from using Twitter. Much more likely that it's a firewall put in place by her company (is it a work phone?) her parents' ISP (who is paying the phone bill?) or your country of origin (oppressive dictators abound these days.)

What I mean by a Virus is what you said "this thread is the number one hit on Google, congrats!",

its her personal phone, could it be a firewall in place on her mobile?

If you cant imagine why a virus writer would want to stop anyone from using Twitter, doesn't mean that someone else does imagine it, and it would be a great imagination because Twitter is a widely used network so while the browser on the phone is unusable doesn't mean that the memory from that browser could be used by an external resource for reasons that are unknown only to them,

Malware authors these days normally are interested in one thing: making money. Blocking Twitter on someone's phone wouldn't accomplish that.

Yes, i know, but its stopping the whole browser from opening, not just Twitter, it seems to be a background thread running on the phone thats blocking the browser from opening and the only option is to exit Twitter, it seems like a virus in that its a background thread?

What do you think?

I think the only option is bring the phone into a phone shop and get the phone system reset/reinstalled/rebooted but i would like to understand what the program is and Hopefully it will help other people with the issue!
