hide an aspect of the interface

Please help with servlet.

I need to make a portion of the xml / xsl that is attached to this hide an aspect of the interface. I have already tried to hide the aspect required in xsl and it did not work. In that case, I was using the parentid as a variable which gets passed. I am stuck now.

I wonder if I need to write something in the servlet to address this issue or if I am looking in the wrong place. Thanks, M.

I think you must be looking in the wrong place. I don't see any interface there, nor do I see anything which has aspects.

But it looks to me like this servlet is a specialized form which runs inside some framework. I don't recognize the framework, but maybe that's just me. Could you provide some
background, like what the framework is for a start?

the JDK is 1.5 and the application is Eclipse Helios.

The graphic of what I want to do with the interface is located on this screen.

The portion that did not work was this:

<xsl:variable name="parentId" select="substring-before(substring-after(concat($querystring, '&'), 'parentid='), '&')"/>
<xsl:if test="@id = 'SelectReporting' and not(contains('#2#10#192#15#169#189#230#', concat('#', $parentid, '#')))">

I wonder if I need to write something in the servlet to address this issue or if I am looking in the wrong place. Thanks, M.

Then yes, you're definitely looking in the wrong place.

What the right place is, I have no idea. Your identification of "Eclipse Helios" as the application in question is wrong, presumably you have some plugin installed
which you're using to design things.

You should also work on clarifying your problem: read ItDoesntWorkIsUseless for more information. Given the information I have I would be inclined to suspect
unescaped ampersands in your XSL, but rather than guessing it would be better to start from some real information.

What I mean is that there was a previous developer who showed or hid reporting features using an if then else xsl statement in the xsl.

I tried this and it did not work, also, I uncommented hers out and it also did not work anymore.

What I am trying to do is hide the reporting feature for selected parentids to include only 7, based on the xml noted above. The bulk of them actually.

I note that after logging in there is nothing on the querystring so my previous approach should not include a querystring variable.

Thanks, M

Okay. So as I already suggested, you should find out what "doesn't work" means.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
