I have some questions about OCMJEA. Can someone with recent experience help please?

1. For each question in the step 1 exam, does it usually have 4 choices? Are there any that may have more than 4 choices?

2. Are all questions in the step 1 exam have one and only one correct answer from the multiple choices (radio button vs. checkboxs)?

3. Once you purchased the step 2 assignment, how long do you have to wait before the assignment is available for download?

4. What is the correct sequence of activities in step 2 and step 3, including:

a) complete step 2 assignment and ready to upload/submit
b) upload/submit the step 2 assignment
c) receive grading (pass/fail) of step 2 assignment
d) purchase step 3 essay test
e) attend step 3 essay test
f) receive grading (pass/fail) of step 3 essay test

Is a->b->c->d->e->f correct? Any mandatory gap in between?

5. How many questions are in the step 3 essay test?

Lin,
1) Not that I recall.
2) No. They tell you how many answers are correct, but not always one. And a couple are matching - not even checkboxes vs radio buttons. More like drag and drop.
3) It was immediate
4) I took it before they changed this.
5) Six.

You need to attend both Part 2 and Part 3 so that your assignment goes for grading, without part 3 it is not eligible for grading.

5. How many questions are in the step 3 essay test?

Kumar wrote:Around 8 questions where you need to support the design of Part 2 assignment you did.

Can you go from b to d right away or do you have to wait for certain period of time?

If Part 2 happens to fail and you resubmit the assignment, do you have to re-do Part 3 as well?

If it happens to fail in part 2, oracle will mention the area you have lost and you need to resubmit that itself and need not do part 3 again.

You cannot go from b to d immediately, because you need to do and submit the assignment before you can purchase step 3.

I also remember that there were 8 questions (more or less) in the essay exam.

As an off-topic comment, I find that the exams require good time management: You need to pay close attention to the amount of time you have and the number of questions you're answering. If you have 2 hours for 8 questions in step 3, don't spend much more than 15 minutes on a question. Step 1 has many more questions, but the point is the same (no more than 2 minutes per question if I recall, and they can have quite a bit of text).

Cheers-
