In a Swing app you shouldn't override paint, you should override paintComponent: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/painting-140037.html

true point but it still does not draw anything=///

Is "jul(d) != chooseNum" ever true? If so, for which values of xPanel and yPanel?
