Is "class initialization" on the OCPJP6 exam?

Hello,
I couldn't find useful info in the forums about this. I'm practicing with the mocks by Enthuware and found a couple of questions regarding the conditions that can trigger a class to get initialized. The SCJP Study Guide by Sierra&Bates I'm studying on doesn't mention anything about that. The explanations by Enthuware are taken from JLS 12.4. I do know that the more you know the better, yada yada... So my question is, how much are these facts distant/pertinent to the official exam objectives ? Is it really worth to dive in to these subtleties ?

I don't think that kind of stuff is on the exam

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
