Question about the SCJP exam

Well, I'm currently studding to take the exam, but some people told me to only study from the Katty Bathes book, but some other people told me not to. My bigger concern is that right now I don't have much time to study, and my exam is in 2 weeks. Can I ask the people who already took the exam to explain me if the exam has the same question that the Self Test? or just examples of what I could find in the exam? That could give me a little pointers in what to expect wile taking the exam.

Thanks in advance.

Understanding the self-test materials in KB's book in all chapters will be good enough to pass the exam, in my opinion.
The exam questions won't be the same as the self-test, but they will be similar to them.

Well i always suggest you give as many as Mock exams (atleast 10) , there is no guarantee that you will have same set of questions appearing in the test again and again , but the pattern might repeat .All the Best.

Hello,

I don't think that two weeks is a good time frame to appear for the exam. Anyhow. you can try mocks if you an experienced programmer.
For example enthuware and devaka exam lab.

Hello Fernando,
I am going to take the exam this year too, and I am studying with the Sierra & Bates book, but also doing a lot of mock exams, and reading the oracle tutorials. When did you begin to study for the exams? Because two weeks is an awfully short time.
Sierra & Bates have another book with exams, and perhaps you would like the beta exams in knowledgeblackbelt.
I would like to know how was your exam.
Mucha suerte.

thanks for the info.

Well, I'm actually been studding for about 3 months, but since I also have work (not related to programming) it's kind of hard to feel comfortable with all the new information. I've been using 4 mock exams to study, and a couple of simulators but I'm not confident enough right know, or maybe I'm not used to this kind of test.

Anyway, I was asking this question since one cousin told me to better only learn from simulators, but not I'm not completely sure about that.

Again, thanks to all for the info. And I will post my result later this month.
