hi..!
i m using ftp server.. and trying to download files.
the batch program is working fine in windows xp but its not working in windows server 2003.
it is giving error message as "425 use port or pasv first"
any suggestion..?

Seems like you need to connect using passive mode (as opposed to active mode).

i tried all but its not possible..
i m using batch programs.
any way to fix this problem by changing the batch code?
i m loggiing in succesfuly but can not fire any command...it says 425 user PORT or PASV first..

Right after you connect to the ftp server, and before you do anything else such as ls, cd, put or get, use one of the following ftp commands:

literal pasv

or:

quote pasv

If that still doesn't work you may need to find a different command line ftp client, one that supports passive mode.

i checked both literal and quote both are not working.
so as you are saying i need use another command line ftp client.
i even checked many of them... no client is working properly.
can you suggest anything..?

I haven't tried this, but maybe you can try your luck with NcFTP Client.

i tried with ncftp...and guess what.....?
and it worked just fine..smooth and cool...!
awesome software....!
