Hi
My project is i am haveing some scanned cheque i need to capture the payee name and the amount. i need to select the name and i wants to add that name and amount to database.
Iam new to development field and no one is not there to guide me. i wants to develop this project by using java and java frameworks please help me.
Please guide me and give some idea to develop this project. or send me some links relevant to this project.

You can start by googling for optical character recognition.
