I am developing report for show the account statement. I have design it with iReport. When i compile it using ireport it gives pdf as i expected. Then i got that .jrxml file and put in my web project and wrote code for generate pdf. I put itext.jar and JasperReports 4.5.1.jar in lib folder. finally build the web project and run. when i click the pdf generate button pdf is not showing. (there aren't any error in console.) i have debug project and look it goes through pdf generation code but pdf is not generate. what is wrong with this?

It sounds as if you are running this inside an IDE, which tends to skew things. Try running it in a standalone servlet container instead, and have a look at the log files.
