Any sample web service on https exposed on internet? that I can use for testing purposes.

That'll help save time of many to create a web service on https. Especially, when the developer wants to write only client side code.

I would request you to please share any such exposed web service on https if it is there on internet.

What makes an HTTPS WS so special? It's pretty easy to get your local servlet container (like Tomcat, or whichever one you use) to support HTTPS, so you can test with your own WS; why not do that?

Thanks my friend for visiting and taking out you time to reply.

I know, it might be very basic question for some, but I am very new to web services.
So I just wanted to concentrate on my client side code first, instead of struggling with the problems that come up making a web service secured.

Just like we have a simple web service exposed here : http://www.webservicex.net/stockquote.asmx?WSDL

Do we have a sample https web service exposed on internet?

Actually, in my office, I need to configure webservice client whcih can invoke a https web service.

I wanted a list of steps that a client needs to do, if he wants to invoke a web service on https.
Because, at this point in time, what is really critical for me is to make a SSL call first. Later on, when I'll have time, i'll definitely explore these areas as well.

As per your suggestion, I tried configuring my SSL.

Now I am able to configure TOMCAT with SSL.
I am able to run port 8443 on tomcat on https.
http://www.mkyong.com/tomcat/how-to-configure-tomcat-to-support-ssl-or-https/ helped me.

I am able to open https://localhost:8443/

Regards
Yogesh
