this question was asked by my teacher but I can find nothing on the subject all I find is how to make declarations in a jsp and why you would need to. is there such a thing and where can I find information about it

Read this article to find out what JSP is all about.

But to be specific: JSP is defined by the JSP Specification. A JSP is not "declared", it is a file that is resident in a web application (just like an HTML file).

Thank you for your reply my understanding of JSP was correct according to the article. now I guess I need to get some clarification from my instructor as to what he was really asking
