Apache Ivy is a powerful tool for Dependency Management of Java Projects. With power comes complexity. Some difficult concepts and multitude of configurations may discourage beginners to shift from manual dependency management to Ivy.

For getting started with Ivy, well written Step-by-Step Beginners Guide is now available. This quick start covers Basic Ivy Usage, Ivy Concepts, Ivy Ant Tasks, how to build repositories and integrate Ivy with Eclipse through IvyDE.

Thanks for sharing that. Ivy is definitely an underappreciated tool for those who don't want to switch from Ant to Maven.
