There's a place in your profile where you can specify your "Location". And if somebody filled in that place (like I did, for example) then you can click on their name where it shows up as a link and see where they said their location was.

I came from my parents, they came from their parents, and if I go back enough parents the answer gets controversial.

Nice one Eileen!

I am from WinterFell of the Seven Kingdoms, illegitimate son of Neddard Stark.

I am currently sworn to protect the Wall of J2EE Insurance company applications.

I can only come from a country if I go to another. Since i've always lived here, I don't think I can answer the question.

It could be an honourable calling, sir, if you also keep the rest of use from having to deal with the foul stench of J2EE

Well, that's the standard assumption. Ned didn't word it that way exactly, and there are other theories about what really went down. Too bad Ned isn't around to clarify, any more.

I've been putting off Dance because I know once I start it, I won't put it down, little distractions like work and sleep will be ignored, and then all too soon it will be over and I'll have to wait 3-5 more years for the next one.

I'm probably going to re-read at least Storm before Dance, and maybe go all the way back to Clash, although I'll probably just watch it once it's out on DVD if I want to refresh my memory that far back.

Somewhere i belong to, it doesn't matter. Once you entered in javaranch you were friend to all members no special request is needed.

ocjp 6 — Feeding a person with food is a great thing in this world. Feeding the same person by transferring the knowledge is far more better thing. The reason is the amount of satisfaction which we get through food is of only one minute or two. But the satisfaction which we can get through the knowledge is of life long.

Scott,
In case you have been wondering about all these replies from your new found friends, let me remind you that you have posted in the Meaningless Drivel forum, where everyone puts aside pretenses and acts their true crazy self!

...and I am from Gaia. I am Gaia.

Okay, but you can't expect that everybody else will want to make friends with every random person who posts on the internet.

Anyone who has used the internet long enough would be sure to avoid a person who makes such a request.

If I didn't know better I'd almost think that you were implying that folks who didn't state where they are from are jerks.
