This week's book giveaway is in the OCAJP 8 forum. We're giving away four copies of OCA Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide and have Edward Finegan & Robert Liguori on-line! See this thread for details.
hi i am very new in java and i am doing my final year project to develope snmp using java....i have taken this jar from a website (http://hosteddocs.ittoolbox.com/KA110807.pdf) (example 1) and i have put it in netbean but i m getting this error so much..
So the SMTPGetException class is contained in that JAR which you downloaded? Or did you write it yourself? At any rate, the compiler is saying that it isn't a proper exception class, and therefore it can't be used as an exception in your code.

thank you for replying
ya it is contained in the jar which i took.the classes from the jar i did not download it and load it in the netbean...i copied one by one and put it in netbean but i copied exactly the same code i didnt change anything .and then to build the .jar i just click the properties of the program name and create it there.do you think that is to do something with the error i am getting.
