switch language in templates

Is it possible to do language switching on the fly for the templates?

now the wordings of the templates are stored in config file and then
the change in the language version requires an update via the admin.

However I know that many sites are in more than 1 language, while
the content of the forum itself is of course in 1 language. But change in
language of the templates will make navigation more user-friendly
in some types of websites.

Is it possible to implement this feature: let users to choose what language to display ?

many thanks~

This feature would be very useful for me too. Our web site is English and French and users can switch yo their favorite language.
