2.1.5 incompatible with older templates?

I just installed JForum 2.1.5, everything went smoothly (new install - Tomcat 5.0.28 & MySQL 4.1.16 on Linux).

I see that you've added a ton of config stuff now for even more flexibility - nice!

I dropped in an old template directory from 2.1.4 (into the templates dir) and changed the SystemGlobals.prop file to use the new dir ... and got html errors all over the place in Jforum.

I also noticed that forum_base.htm is no longer used.

So I guess we'll have to "rework" any custom look & feel stuff we've done to work with 2.1.5, right?

Yes, there are a lot of changes to the templates - general improvements and organization of files.

Yes indeed!!

I'll be crawling under the hood soon to see where I need to change things.

Thanks for all your efforts (and to the contributors too) in moving the new features forward and getting 2.1.5 out there!

This almost should be a major level version bump with so many new features (ie. 2.2.0 rather than 2.1.5).

Great.

I don't know if you already know, so... The main documentation is being written here: http://www.jforum.net/confluence/display/doc/Home

If you think you're able to write some words about customization / styling, just let me know.

I might be able to add some things. Let me look into the new version before I commit to anything.
