I would like to have my administrators and moderators for example with the rank "Administrator"/"Moderator" and have all my users get their rankings according to their posts. I found the ranking options that has rank levels according to how many posts they have but I haven't found anywhere a place to predefine a rank for a group. Is this option available and I haven't found it or is this not possible? (using version 2.1.6)

I was looking for an answer to the same question. We don't currently have ranking turned on. We'd like to display "Forum Moderator" by the moderator avatar and I'm assuming we should use the ranking system to do this.

But now I'm confused -- how does this forum here have a rank called "JForum Team"? Is this just using the ranking system to call the top posters on this forum JForum team -- meaning that if I post a zillion times I will also be a member of the JForum team?

Is there another way to do this? We don't need to have ranking for any other groups of users.

You can create your own rankings, and modify existing. A ranking can be set as a 'special ranking'. This means that this ranking must be assigned to a user directly.

Actually, can you tell me where to modify/assign Special Ranking? I can't find it in the admin control panel. We're using 2.1.6

Thanks.
