Hi,

About to migrate two sites to a CMS solution and currently have a list of OpenCMS, JBoss Portal and, possibly, Liferay.

I'm interested in finding out if and how JForum integrates with these in terms of SSO, user accounts, groups etc.

Haven't been able to find any information on this. Please provide a link if I missed such information.

Regards,
Jimisola

JForum has a good support for SSO, although there isn't any official "cms integration module" so far.

Ok. SSO is good

JForum and JBoss Forums look very much a like - the latter has JSR-168 support.
I basically need to choose one of them, why should I use JForum?

I'll most likely use JBoss AS with JBoss Portal or Liferay with ?.
I'm not very familiar with J2EE yet, so I have to ask... If I use SSO, will JForum use J2EE users and roles? Don't know whether users and roles are part of the J2EE Application Server or JSR-168 Portal.

Regards,
Jimisola

I you are goin to use JBoss Portal, you should probably go for their forum since its a portlet. The integration will be easier. Just be aware that their forum are lacking some of the features you find in JForum. But since I haven't tested their forum probably they might have something we don't have as well.
