Moving topics and entries

Is is possible to move a topic to another forum, or to move an entry to another topic?

Yes, if you are a moderator. There is a "move" icon below the messages, when you click on it, you can then select the forum to move the message trail to.

But this icon is only visible for topics in some of my forums. Any ideas to how I can enable this function for all forums?

Make yourself a moderator? Do you see the delete and lock icons in those forums you don't see the move icon? if you don't see those either, I suspect you don't have moderator privileges in those forums.

Actually I was an administrator, but it helped to adjust the permissions for the Administrator group.

Enabling "Can move messages between forums" was not sufficient. I had to experiement with other permissions as well. I have two jforum installations, and in one of them the permission "Can approve / deny messages in moderated forums" must be disabled before the icons where visible.

I am still puzzled, but at least it works now.
