I know this is fixed in 2.1.7, but could someone please tell me the changes I need to make for 2.1.6?

I checked the repository to see the changes for templates/macros/pagination.ftl, but the only difference seems to be complete redesign of the whole macro.

I have all caching disabled, but still when I get more posts than the number of pages, the new page is not added to the pagination until I restart the application.

I would like to keep 2.1.6 for now and the pagination macro that comes with it, but fix that bug.

Thanks.

Have you tried to upgrade the macro?

Will the lastest repository macro (or the 2.1.7 one) work with 2.1.6?

I guess so. The cvs head version depends of the changes made to style.css, but that's all.
