I have a Java site that is translated into several languages.
Therefore, I am looking for a Java forum that supports multiple languages.
Of course each language could have its own forum, but since most europeans understand more than one language (2 - 4 are normal) It would be nice if the user could mark the languages he can read, e.g. English, German, Danish, and then read all comments for a specific topic in these 3 languages simultaneously.
Example:
If the user marks English, German, Danish as spoken languages and is interested in 'Motors' then all comments in these 3 languages (only) are presented for the user.
It is quite anoying to change language all the time in order to read all comments of interest.

Results from all related forums are shown to the user? Does another forum engine have this feature, so we can take a closer look?

not even jive has this feature. And jive costs a few thousand dollars a year ^^
in my eyes this only makes sense for "searching". in any other case it would blow up the forum way too much i think [originally posted on jforum.net by Sid]
