Struts 2 Architecture

Hi,
I want to know whether this book provides the strits architecture with working examples or not. Will this book explains the common design patterns like singleton,factory method in struts with implementation or examples.

I think the book named Struts in Action will help you to get the architechture and about the patterns used in the struts.

Struts in action is about struts 1, while this book is on struts 2, which is a totally different framework. Struts 2 in based mainly on webwork, so if you like the "In Action" series, you might like to take a look at webwork in action. Of course you can wait for struts 2 in action, which is to be released on the first of May (you can preorder it), or better off, let's wait for Budi's answer .
