This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Don't know if I'm in the right place with this question here, if not please excuse me, and maybe point me to the right place. Thanks
Updates to the en_US.properties file in jforum\WEB-INF\config\languages folder are not always recognized. Running JForum 2.1.8 on Resin 3.1.8 (http server & servlet container) on Win2k3 server does recognize changes. But Resin 3.1.8 servlet container on Apache 1.3.41 web server on Linux kernel 2.6.9-78.0.13.ELsmp does not.
Is there a way to kind of forcefully make JForum aware of changes to this file?
Thanks for any hint!

Ok, there is the possibility of editing WEB-INF/web.xml, e.g. change session timeout, which will make the webapp reload. This solves my problem. [originally posted on jforum.net by oleh]
