I am trying to integrate jforum with an existing application . I have implemented my own custom sso . I am using version 2.1.8

By default jforum registers a new user for every new username .

How can i best change this behaviour so that new users are added only for new emails ?

I looked into the code and it appears that changing the code in the method
userExists() of class net.jforum.sso.SSOUtils is the only way .

In other words change

Am i correct in my assumptions ? Is there a better way ?

Its based on the code in the register() method is the same class .

Thanks in advance .

I did't want to reply to my own question so editing the post .

It looks like editing the code is the way to do it . That's what i did any way . Besides i also have to now pass email from my custom sso besides having to edit code in

checkSSO() of net.jforum.ControllerUtils .

I found a bit of information from here : #19408 , its regarding redirects actually .

Also , every time i edit , i have to login again . If i haven't copied my post somewhere else , i end up typing it again . May be this is not the place to post it but is any one else having this issue ?
