Hi. to help us understand what stage you are at, can you post what you have so far? What is running on the server that will accept this data?

i am just a beginner. I've been able to fetch the data and view it in the jTable so far. Now i have been struggling to get the idea about what to use to send the Access Table data to the web server. Could you be specific about what you said "What is running on the server"?
Thank you for your reply.

I understand that you want to transfer some data from your local machine to a server, but I must know more about your goals and your server environment.

If your goal is to just move the data, you probably don't need a jTable. Why can't you just connect from MS Access to the remote Database using ODBC?

Is your end goal to use your jTable to edit the records in a remote database?

When I ask what is running, I mean, what kind of web server and what kind of database (If you have a database on the server).

Thank You for your quick reply.
I have an application that creates a multiple table database(.mdb). I am trying to fetch some data from that database, view it to table(not edit) and send it to the web server. I tried using ODBC connection from the local drive and it is working fine with the database i created but not working with the application's database.

We are running Apache HTTP server and MySQL database.

You would need a driver for mySQL. (http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/)

Here is a web page of how to connect from MS Access to mySQL:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/connector-odbc-examples-tools-with-access.html

.

Good question. I haven't tried it, but this site (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb238065%28v=office.12%29.aspx ) says you can change the ODBC refresh interval. Can you try it and report back?

ODBC data sources are refreshed based on the ODBC Refresh Interval setting on the Advanced tab of the Access Options dialog box.

I created an ODBC link from the access database using the import option. but the problem is the access file is fetching data from the mySql database. but i want to send updated data from access to mySql. Here in access 2007 i can see that using the import option i can create a link but using export i can only send the table data with the table
and the other thing is when i create the link of a table, another table is created in the database with the same name. and the linked table is updated not the main database.

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
