nothing happens by magic - what happens when you do this
new My_form();

look at the code, where does it go from there?

degugging 101

start again, start here

now add enough code to give the frame a size and show it

when you do that part OK, add the components (a few at a time)
when the components are showing OK, add your listeners.

I think the biggest mistake you made is writing lots of code. You should write a few lines, compile and run it. Then write a few lines more.
You have a problem about the setVisible call; you are never using it. If you don’t call setVisible, you will never see your GUI.
