Appeared OCM-JEA 5 PART 1 and passed with 93%. I had 3 incorrect answers, one from
JSF, one from web services /XML over HTTP, one from design
patterns - gang of four. I thought all my JSF, Web services answers were correct, but had doubt over design patterns. there were around 10 questions from patterns all together. There were several lengthy questions and most of them covers your knowledge and experience in
J2EE.
SCEA forum was a great resource.
The preparation took me around 3-4 weeks. Mainly read the Cade book. Refreshed my notes on
SCJP, SCWCD, OCPJBCD, OCPJWSD, JPA exams. After reading Cade book I realized that I was doing the role of a
Java architect directly or in directly in addition to design, development etc for the past several years. Lot of questions you feel like none are correct answers, but then you have to put yourselves in shoes of Cade, exam creators etc.
