Hi All,

How to display events on the calendar according to the dates from the database. I want to display the data briefly from the database when the user clicks on the particular date in the calendar. The date selected should compare with existing dates from the data base.I am new to coding and jsf. please someone guide me in doing so.

Welcome to the JavaRanch, Pavan!

There is no simple way to do this. Some of the JSF extended tag sets such as Tomahawk and RichFaces support calendar controls, but ultimately what gets displayed in the controls will depend on the Model data that the controls reference. Getting the right data into the model is usually a simple database query (assuming that you're storing the event information in a database).

The exact processes are both too complicated to explain in an online forum and also vary too much from tagset to tagset, so I recommend looking at the various available extensions, pick one and read the documentation and tutorials for that tagset's calendar controls. Once you've done that, we can try and answer any questions you may have.

Customer surveys are for companies who didn't pay proper attention to begin with.
