Strange Warnings in XML Doc

I am getting many warnings in my xml doc "Unknown Java Type: ..." See commented line below for example.

It cannot find the class on application startup.

Locate it in the jar and ensure it's on the CLASSPATH or web-inf/lib

CLASSPATH is ignored by Tomcat and - I suspect - other servlet containers. If you are working with Tomcat see the class-loader-howto.html file in the docs directory of a typical Tomcat install for the details of where Tomcat looks for class files.

In JBoss, you can modify jboss-services.xml as in this example:


This allows us to put all vendor endorsed jars such as jdbc drivers etc. in the "classpath"
for all web apps.

You may be correct about Tomcat.
