I am running a web application from within intelliJ which uses Jetty server. When I make any jsp changes or html changes in my project, I restart the server but the changed does not get reflected at all. can someone please let me know any pointers as to what setting needs to be done in IntelliJ?

thanks

If you open up project settings, make sure you are deploying your artifacts to the right directory. The output directory should be somewhere your application server can find. I had this set wrong and I could not figure out where my changes were going.

If you set it to be under the webapp directory, you shouldn't even need to restart if you change jsp / html.

example, my artifact Output directory is C:\...\...\ProjectHome\project-web\src\main\webapp

that makes jsp and html changes show up without restart.

Default seems to be C:\...\...\ProjectHome\project-web\target
which requires a restart to make the changes show up.

What is your output directory set to ?

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
