What is the menaing of PATH, CLASSPATH and JAVA_HOME ?

PATH: OS search here to find executable file like javac, java etc...

CLASSPATH : Java class loader find classe files here

JAVA_HOME : any other third party tool[tomcat etc..] which need java to run find java installation here

Does this FAQ help? If not, it might be worth altering it, or writing a new FAQ about environment variables.
By the way: you need a PATH but not a CLASSPATH; in fact, setting your own CLASSPATH usually does more harm than good.
