Difficulty level vs. OCPJP

Hey all,

I recently cleared the OCPJP exam and I am not considering going for the OCPJWCD exam.

I am wondering what are people's thoughts on it compared to OCPJP. Would you tend to think it is more difficult and what is a realistic time frame to complete it in?

I am going to purchase Head First Servlets and JSP as a starting point I think.

Any feedback or thoughts would be great.

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

I found the exam easier but different. With OCPJWCD you need to know a lot of details, more than with OCPJP. If you are good in cramming, you will find it easier than OCPJP otherwise you might even find it harder.

HF is a great starting point and if you want to be sure: go for the Enthuware mock exams. These mock exams are great in two ways: first the level of difficulty is simular, sometimes a bit harder. Secondly the way the ask things is simular. And most importantly: if you pass all the mock exams for sure you will pass the real exam.

Don't forget to read the specs where needed.

Regards and good luck,
Frits

Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah I am definitely going to read HF for starters and will look at the objectives too. I definitely will give this exam a go.
