i am trying to dispaly the data from the database in the jsp..i am using
2 framework..problem is i am not able to encode the umlat character(german character)
I have set the character encoding as UTF-8
but the data containing umalt character are displaying in jsp where iu used display tag to dispaly the data..
but the umlat charactert are are not displaying properly in the page where i desing using
but it is working in <dispaly:table>....<display:/table>

First of all, it's umlaut, with an extra u. Secondly, you probably need to HTML encode it; try ü instead; that displays as ü. The display tag probably does this encoding for you.
