What do you mean by "posses"? What are you trying to understand?
I'm guessing that it has something to do with an object's structure, or what it "contains."
Logically speaking, an object "contains" all its member variables, and the knowledge of which class it extends and which interfaces it implements. How that is actually implemented--that is, what values are "physically" stored in the JVM's internal representation of an object--is largely left up to the individual implementers.
