Use this interceptor Struts Execute and Wait.

ocjp 6 — Feeding a person with food is a great thing in this world. Feeding the same person by transferring the knowledge is far more better thing. The reason is the amount of satisfaction which we get through food is of only one minute or two. But the satisfaction which we can get through the knowledge is of life long.

The easiest thing to do is to use JavaScript to pop up an image that will indicate the system is considering their request.
Making a progress bar that accurately depicts how much longer a process has to go take a little more work and usually involve using an applet or Flash app to do the upload and display the bar.
