This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
This is my first post in the forum. so please excuse me if this topic is relevant here.
Am using JMeter to run multiple requests for testing the application. The sampler used in Jmeter is Webservice(SOAP) request. The settings for the Thread group in JMeter is 10 users/threads which run for 10 min.
The requirement for my application is that the code does a SELECT query to get all the records in the db for the particular category and inserts the newly created data(which is fairly simple logic). The probs is that when I use the soapUI tool to send one request at a time it successfully returns the response. But when used in JMeter with the above settings
occurs. As its a JPA implementation I have specified the one-to-many relationship with CascadeType.ALL in the Entity class. With the in-depth debugging found that multiple threads which JMeter creates executes concurrently and creates the same (read masteragreementcode) which is the a unique code. I have made the method synchronized but it's of no help.
I hope you understood the requirement/problem else I can explain more .

I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
