What does netbeans have to do with it? Netbeans is just an IDE. You write the code the same way regardless of what you are using to edit it. You're not going to have netbeans around when you deploy so stop thinking of it as a platform, and just think of it as an editor.

so please tell me how to solve this error

Impossible with the lack of information you've given us. Please post the code -- UseCodeTags to preserve the formatting -- in the JSP that you are using to "call" the servlet. Also post your deployment descriptor.

Again, Netbeans is an editor. It has nothing at all to do with how you write the code. You might as well be telling us what color the walls in your room are.

If you are not going to follow my instructions regarding what to show us, we can't help you.

So what are your trying to do exactly is to make a jsp file that print html on user's browser and when user fill in a form for example you want to save in database using servlet ?
simple scenario:
1- html page has a log in form, basically called index.jsp
2- send the form value to a servlet file to check username and password from database
3- return validation to index.jsp file

is this what are you looking for ? because this is what i am trying to do at the moment and i don't know how :D
