Autocomplete using JSP custom Tag

can we create a autocomplete component using JSP custom Tag?

Yes. If this was my problem I'd search the web first, though, as I'm certain there are ready-to-use components out there.

yes, there are many other ways there and components as well, but i want to get some clue by doing with JSP Custom Tags, working on it and i have seen most of the web pages but no worth while. if you know any other way let me know.

i have created a custom component and Tag handler through which i need to get the value from the text box what ever typed in that Text box...

if you have any examples let me know..

Not sure why you are looking to specifically use JSP. May be you can consider using jQuery? you can avoid the effort for custom code.

I think it's kind of a given that the custom tag will generate code that uses a JavaScript library like jQuery or Prototype.

yeah.. thanks Raghu we can avoid the custom code using JQuery...

i have done it through JQuery but some of the Java code comes inside the JSP page that i dont want so that i am looking for Custom tag or some other approach.

is that possible using JSP Custom tag instead of using AJAX or JQuery?
